2nd week

During his 2nd week...

We heard many people saying…OHHH be ready he will pee on you (not yetJ), but we knew it was going to happen one day. He peed to the wall next to his diaper change table, He also peed on himself before we could even change his diaper.

We are also introducing him to the noise machine, a beautiful little lamb that gives those noises like rainfall, heatbeats or ocean sounds, which relaxes Evelyn more than Tyler. But we want him to get use to that. This week we discovered he loves his bouncey chair and if Tyler wakes up a little while he is napping, we turn on the calming vibrations (to us it is a very strong vibration), but it works and puts little Tyler back to sleepJ (so whatever works, right?)

Ahhh we have also started to put him to sleep with us only early in the morning, so we can also sleep. And it is working. The three of us peacefully sleep.

We took him for a walk around the park in Cameron Station and eventhough Tyler had to sleep; he didn't want to miss his 1st walk outside the park with mommy & daddy. Daddy coming out of the house and going for a walk!!! was a miracle. Great miracle, though.

For your kids you do anything, right!?

Our good bye,thank u dinner and Elaine's B-day ( B's mom) anticipated
celebration the day
before they left to St. Louis, MO:(:(:(

Can somebody get me out of this car seat!!!
Is this Yummie?...when there is no milk there is always my thumb:( I DON'T THINK SO!!!
Tyler will make sure mommy feeds him:)
I am learning to suck my thumb

Tyler like's being on his tummy already and doesn't even bother. Bryan makes him exercise with his arms and legs and Evelyn plays with his arms counting until ten in Spanish so he is already listening and getting use to learn Spanish. It seems like Bryan & Tyler will pick up the Spanish at the same time, though:)

Tyler's 1st wk

OHHH YESS....Mommy and me we did it!!!
N I didn't make mommy suffer:) I am a good boy already...u think?!

Proud parents ready for their second child, right Bryan???...HAHAHA - SHHHH

Proud parents n the only pug allowed at the Brooks house. Its name
is JUAN:)...One day Evelyn & Tyler will walk
in the house with a puppy.

And what will Bryan say....???

Yeayyy Grandma' & Grandpa' Brooks arrived Friday the 13th
to spend a week with ME!!!
Tyler says I am already exhausted...Too much activity outside my mommy's womb!
I have met so many people in my 1st week!!!

Daddy watching TV with Tyler
During Tyler's 1st week he had already changed from the day he arrived and looking at him everyday there is always something new. He is very strong that he is already holding his pacifier with both hands. The good thing about the pacifier is that he only takes it when neccesary and then he leaves it. Which is wonderful!
Tyler didn"t like to be changed his diapers and cry and cry everytime we did it, but he is getting MUCH better and not much cry anymore. Now he still doesn't like when we change his clothes.
The 1st days hearing him would make Evelyn nervous and make her feel like crying at the same time as Tyler was crying.
Bryan is doing a wonderful job changing diapers and waking up at 5a to take over the night shift.
Of course the 1st night was the most difficult one. Specially because Evelyn's dad and Bryan told Evelyn you can go to sleep, we will watch the baby...O right! Evelyn thought wonderful: I will get some sleep. It was about 11pm at night...30 min later after Evelyn got in bed; Evelyn checked Bryan & her dad Juan to see if they were watching Tyler and guess what??? They were both sleeping!!! Anyways it seemed like Mom's life had started. Women have that instict that men developed once they become parents. ( Evelyn believes:)

Tyler arrived March 11th, 2009

After waiting for his arrival since February. Tyler finally made his apperance yesterday at 450pm.
Evelyn thought it was going to be worst than what it was; but thanks to the wonderful and marvelous epidural she was in heaven:)
We were admitted to the hospital on Tuesday night and were given cervidil to start the induction. By the time the doctor arrived in the morning, Evelyn had dialated 3 cm (not much), and right after her doctor broke her water (without the epidural), she made sure she got her good dosage of it and then she was able to even sleep until around 1pm. We played music like Andrea Bocelli (ave maria), Luis Miguel, Ricky Martin, Celine Dion among others, read some magazines just waiting for our doctor at 2pm. He ordered pitocin for Evelyn to start the real contractions. By 230pm the doctor arrived and said Evelyn you have dialated to 4 cm...so Evelyn was thinking she hope it wasn;t taking too long...then he came back after an hour and he said you are 9 cm...of course Evelyn couldn't believe it and he asked the nurses to start getting ready. He told Evelyn by the time we start you will be at 10 cm. And it was true!!!
We started at around 345p with the pushing, and Evelyn felt like somebody was pushing to come out. Bryan was holding one leg encouraging Evelyn at all times, the nurse holding the other leg and the doctor waiting for Tyler. They gave some oxygen to Evelyn cause Tyler had his heart rate a little bit low but it is normal a reaction like that when there is an induction.
So push push push, and Bryan was telling Evelyn you are doing great, you are doing great!!! when Bryan said he is almost there, he is coming, he is coming...Evelyn thought he was just encouraging for more pushing, but all of a sudden it felt like a soccer ball came out. He was born at 450pm with 7 pounds 8 ounces and 20.5 inches.
The doctor inmediately put Tyler with mommy on her belly, blody everywhere but who cares, right!? and then he started to cry and cry and cry, which was really good for his lungs...
We haven't mention Juan Estela...Evelyn's dad arrived 2 hours before Evelyn was admitted to the hospital and he helped Evelyn A LOT....but once Tyler was born and the doctor showed Tyler to him, he forgot about Evelyn and started to film every single moment of Tyler...(we will post our video sometime this weekend)
Back in the 70's when daddy Juan Estela became a father. The father wasn't allowed to be in the operating room specially if there was a C-section, so he was never there when her kids were born. So this time was, we believe BEYOND special for him. WE THANK GOD FOR HAVING HIM THERE WITH US, TOO!!!.
The Brooks are very happy they will be going home just the very next day and that everything went as God planned it!!!
