Tyler 1st kicks

His kicks started at week 16 approx. I could feel some bubbles in my stomach, sometimes it was like somebody was tickling me and that was funny, because it made me laugh.
The weeks passed and his kicks started to get stronger and it was not as funny as in the beginning. Sometimes he surprised me in the middle of a meeting with a kick and I was jumped out of my seat.
I had been asking Bryan to try and see if he could feel Tyler kick. But he always said NO. Until yesterday Saturday November 8th. We had a jewelry show to go and that morning we had to wake up early but my back was bothering me and I didn’t sleep well. The day before we had a show from 9am-9pm so my back had a reason to be sore. I decided to lie on my belly. BIG MISTAKE & just as demanding as his mom; Tyler kicked stronger than ever, so I told Bryan put your hand on my belly now that I am lying on my stomach and Tyler kicked Bryan for the 1st time. I had to turn back and lay on my back because Tyler would not allow me to be on my stomach and it was very clear he didn’t like it. Again in a very demanding way and without even talking he told me TURN AROUND MOM, NOW!!!

B & E break before Tyler comes

Every year we travel for my birthday. We don't know if next year will be different so I definetely wanted to go somewhere even though if it wasn't far away. But enjoy our time as a couple, enjoy every ride possible in DisneyWorld and act like a little kid:)

So we decided to go to Florida. We did a couple stops in Ft Lauderdale and Naples before we head to Orlando, where we stayed for 6 days.
The days went fast but we took advantage of everyday and even though I knew some rides weren't for pregnant women; we went to about 24 rides in one day! When we ride starwars I talked to Tyler and said HERE WE GO! I always wanted to do starwars with Bryan and we did it:) We even did a rocket that spins like crazy and then goes up & down. When I was on the air I was thinking what am I doing here!? I felt Tyler moving like crazy and my back was killing me at the end of the day but it was worth it. We came back home exhausted and the next day Tyler didn't move much, so I thought he must be exhausted, too.

It's a boy!

We finally had to do the sonogram where we could find out the sex. We went for this sonogram on Monday October 13th, and guest what? we arrived to the doctor's office without the doctor's referal. And we wanted to do it that day because Tuesday we were leaving to Orlando.
So Bryan drove like a madness back home to pick up the referal and came back just on time to the sonogram:)
It was kind of a tiring sonogram. They checked EVERYTHING, the right arm, left arm, right foot, left foot, femur, back, head, etc...it took about and one hour and a half and the technician wasn't sure about the sex so she called the doctor and the doctor said: Yes you are having a boy! Bryan was thrilled!!! He was dancing and singing when he came back home (shhhhh....)
I 1st wanted a girl but then I was thinking I will have my little boyfriend and I have always had more guy friends than girlfriends.
Anyways I have already told Bryan he owes me the girl....ha-ha.
We had already the name for a baby boy and we have decided to name him
TYLER FREDERICK BROOKS.
The name had to be something that was easy to pronounce in Spanish & English and that the sound of it wouldn't change in any language. BTW we don't like nicknames.

Bryan meets Tyler

On September 5th we had another doctor's check up and Bryan came with me to the doctor's appointment. Since then he has always being very involve with the pregnancy and wanted to know all about it.

The doctor decided to perform another sonogram and asked Bryan to look at the monitor, to our surprise the baby was making some acrobatic jumping and it seemed like he was flying on the air. The doctor told us you see how he is moving? and of course Bryan looked at me and said I can't believe he is moving like that already! so I said to him: well...you know how the mother is, right? so don't expect the baby to be a quiet one:)

At fourteen weeks still no signs of any pregnancy sickness. Sometimes I was sleepy and sometimes I was going to bed at 8pm but really all my pregnancy symptoms have been nothing compared to what other women have gone through and again we just give thanks to God for that blessing.

We found out about Tyler

It was the weekend of August 8th, 2008. Evelyn's high school friend Claudia Z. told Evelyn it isn't funny your are missing your period! maybe you are already pregnant. And I thought it was another stressful month where I usually missed my period, so it was something normal.
Friday August 8th after Bryan came home from work. I asked him to go out for drinks and then to CVS to get a pregnancy test.
We came back home and I really didn't want to do the test. So I waited until before going to bed. Finally I did the test and within 3 seconds it was positive so I call Bryan! COME HERE! He saw the results and said: I feel light headed...so I said to him: YOU FEEL LIGHT HEADED. I answered I will give you a real one...hahaha.
That 1st night I wasn't able to sleep thinking about the 1st pregnancy results. Next morning we went to our family doctor and he sent us for lab tests but it was Saturday so we couldn't do the lab tests until MOnday.
He suggested to do another home pregnancy test and if it was positive it was 99% that I was pregnant. Of course I didn't buy one but two pregnancy tests and both came positive. Then I was crying for sometime thinking about my body changes and the new chapter that we were going to face in the coming months and years. Of course I called my friend Claudia Z. and told her you are the biggest witch ever!....haha the funny thing is we are both due in February and probably pushing at the same time...ha-ha.
On Monday I went to my obstetrician where he inmediately perform a sonogram and within minutes the doctor said ok now let's see the baby and he said: Yes, your baby is growing and here is your 1st picture. I hold the picture and was still in shock to see the little one there. The best thing about all this it that I was 9 W 5 days when I went to the doctor so I already almost passed the 12 weeks. And never felt any sickness. We thank God for that everyday!
