Tyler arrived March 11th, 2009

After waiting for his arrival since February. Tyler finally made his apperance yesterday at 450pm.
Evelyn thought it was going to be worst than what it was; but thanks to the wonderful and marvelous epidural she was in heaven:)
We were admitted to the hospital on Tuesday night and were given cervidil to start the induction. By the time the doctor arrived in the morning, Evelyn had dialated 3 cm (not much), and right after her doctor broke her water (without the epidural), she made sure she got her good dosage of it and then she was able to even sleep until around 1pm. We played music like Andrea Bocelli (ave maria), Luis Miguel, Ricky Martin, Celine Dion among others, read some magazines just waiting for our doctor at 2pm. He ordered pitocin for Evelyn to start the real contractions. By 230pm the doctor arrived and said Evelyn you have dialated to 4 cm...so Evelyn was thinking she hope it wasn;t taking too long...then he came back after an hour and he said you are 9 cm...of course Evelyn couldn't believe it and he asked the nurses to start getting ready. He told Evelyn by the time we start you will be at 10 cm. And it was true!!!
We started at around 345p with the pushing, and Evelyn felt like somebody was pushing to come out. Bryan was holding one leg encouraging Evelyn at all times, the nurse holding the other leg and the doctor waiting for Tyler. They gave some oxygen to Evelyn cause Tyler had his heart rate a little bit low but it is normal a reaction like that when there is an induction.
So push push push, and Bryan was telling Evelyn you are doing great, you are doing great!!! when Bryan said he is almost there, he is coming, he is coming...Evelyn thought he was just encouraging for more pushing, but all of a sudden it felt like a soccer ball came out. He was born at 450pm with 7 pounds 8 ounces and 20.5 inches.
The doctor inmediately put Tyler with mommy on her belly, blody everywhere but who cares, right!? and then he started to cry and cry and cry, which was really good for his lungs...
We haven't mention Juan Estela...Evelyn's dad arrived 2 hours before Evelyn was admitted to the hospital and he helped Evelyn A LOT....but once Tyler was born and the doctor showed Tyler to him, he forgot about Evelyn and started to film every single moment of Tyler...(we will post our video sometime this weekend)
Back in the 70's when daddy Juan Estela became a father. The father wasn't allowed to be in the operating room specially if there was a C-section, so he was never there when her kids were born. So this time was, we believe BEYOND special for him. WE THANK GOD FOR HAVING HIM THERE WITH US, TOO!!!.
The Brooks are very happy they will be going home just the very next day and that everything went as God planned it!!!
